„Two outstanding photographers from Poland Kinga Karpati and Daniel Zarewicz have been following artists for many years. Polish artists, but not only. They closely observe the work of theaters, documenting the so-called making of – everything that happens behind the scenes. They show our work, accompany us daily on stage, and support us not only as exceptional photographers, but also as people deeply connected to our artistic lives. We all know how essential photographs are for artists – images that later appear online, in print, and across digital media. We are all deeply grateful to Kinga and Daniel for their work, their sensitivity, and their constant presence. The most recent photo session we realized together with Kinga and Daniel took place in Zurich. It was a wonderful session. Wherever they work, they have an extraordinary ability to choose locations that perfectly suit each artist, while at the same time capturing and conveying the artistic context in which that artist exists. I truly believe they are exceptional people – wonderful colleagues privately and artists of the highest professional level. This time, we meet their remarkable photographs here in Barcelona, where, without exaggeration, history is being made. It is here that Lise Davidsen), often described as the voice of the century, makes her debut as Isolde. Very soon, we will also be performing together at Metropolitan Opera. I am immensely proud to be part of this project and to observe Lise Davidsen’s work so closely. We share a strong friendship, and I am deeply grateful to Kinga Karpati and Daniel Zarewicz for these magnificent photographs from the Barcelona production of Tristan and Isolde”
