The role of Jacopo Fiesco will be sung by Rafał Siwek, known internationally as an accomplished interpreter of Verdi’s bass roles (King Philip II and the Grand Inquisitor in „Don Carlos,” Zacharias in „Nabucco,” the title role of Attila de Silva in „Ernani,” and Father Guardian in „La forza del destino”). The Polish bass has previously performed the role of Fiesco on stages such as the Teatro Massimo di Palermo, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and the Teatro Regio di Parma alongside legendary baritone Leo Nucci in the title role. It’s worth noting that Rafał Siwek will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his professional artistic debut in 2025, having made his debut at the Wrocław Opera as Ferrando in Verdi’s „Il Trovatore” under the baton of Ewa Michnik.
