Michał Dobrzyński perfectly captured Gombrowicz’s spirit musically and literary, and the score of „Hi§tory” is full of obsessive references to the terrors of reality. The two directors, Maciej Wojtyszko and Jakub Krofta, also presented a magnificent interpretation of duality in their stage production, with the great commitment of all the singers and the intensity of the Polish Royal Opera Orchestra under the baton of Karol Szwech.
