Sometimes when I play, I even feel a sense of honor or a dream come true—that I can do it at all, that it’s something I once dreamed of. I think many musicians forget this in the heat of work and artistic endeavor. Of course, I often feel tired, frustrated, and afraid, but if the joy of being able to do it still prevails, everything falls into place.
