„Intimate Portraits” is a stage fantasy based on the repertoire of German Romantic songs by Johannes Brahms, Franz Schubert, and Robert Schumann. The concert took place on February 24, 2024, in the Fryderyk Chopin Redutowych Hall at the Grand Theatre – National Opera. The set was animated paintings by Caspar David Friedrich. Participants of the Young Talent Development Program – Opera Academy performed, and the performance was directed by Ilona Molka and Ewa Rucińska. (Orfeo)

The characters, traversing alternately soothing and turbulent romantic landscapes, search the „world stage” for personal answers to questions about the nature of love, the possibility of rebellion, and the truth about themselves. They do so with the imaginative flair typical of Romantics, so alongside lyrical tones, we can also expect comedic, pastoral, and even sensational moments. (TWON)
