This is one of the larger roles I’ve sung very often over the past three years. It’s hard to count… I think it’s been eleven productions already. It’s one of the few leading roles for a mezzo-soprano. My voice, my looks, my age, my acting—it all adds up to—well, you could call me Carmen. I have a challenging personality, I often want to be right, I laugh loudly, I talk a lot when I’m passionate about something, I have fiery red hair… I always wanted a redhead like „Anne of Green Gables,” who was my childhood idol. She’s a romantic, a dreamer, and a Shakespearean fan like me, but also a strong girl who won’t let herself be bullied. MK (Presto)
