Maria Domżał, in the role of Eurydice, was the second star of this premiere. Also costumed like a statue, but exceptionally lively in her reactions, she sang with an exceptionally beautiful soprano, rich in sound and more mature in timbre than girlish, though there were also delicate tones in her phrases. This liveliness of voice and eyes blended beautifully with the life Plewniak gave to the sounds of MACV’s period instruments.
